The reputation of golf courses in Marrakech was made in the 90s under the late Hassan II who liked to come and play golf in Marrakech, at the Golf Royal in particular. Since the offer of golfing spots has continued to grow in the ocher city, going from 6 golf courses in 2013 to more than 13 today in 2021. To such an extent that Marrakech is nicknamed today by its peers The Mecca of Golf! Who has never seen these splendid photos of golf courses all signed by renowned designers such as Trent Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Kyle Phillips or Cabell Robinson. These emeritus designers recognized throughout the world have nevertheless grassed only half of the surface of the courses to limit their water consumption, leaving desert areas next to their green fairways.
